On the 16th October 2022, we sadly lost our friend & coach Lucy John. Lucy was an amazing mother; wife; daughter; sister; aunty; athlete and a friend to everyone she met. Lucy always had a smile on her face, she would help anyone she met, and wherever she went she would light up the room. Lucy was an amazing, enthusiastic, resilient, beautiful and inspirational woman with a zest for life. Lucy was our Warrior Princess 🧜🏽‍♀️.

As a club, Pen-y-bont Triathlon Club have been working in collaboration with Tondu Wheelers (Lucy’s cycling club), to arrange the 2nd Lucy John Memorial Ride in October 2023. We will be joined on the ride by Lucy’s husband (& our fellow coach) Evan along with Lucy’s loving dad Nigel.

For the occasion, we have teamed up with BRAV & designed special edition ‘Lucy - Warrior Princess’ socks, designed in Lucy’s favourite colour (green), along with an image of a mermaid (Lucy was known as ‘the little mermaid’) & incorporating the 4 colours of Penybont Tri Club & Tondu Wheelers.

These socks are now available to purchase online for the memorial ride.
